There are new conductors running the Flower Exchange Train!

Ellen Shaw and Lucy Beard are continuing with a great idea. It all started when Nancy Pope and Lisa Baker saw a news clip about another flower recycling group going out to nursing homes in New York.

Ellen’s first recollection of enjoying flowers was when she was very young. The pansies, with their velvety feel and colors was all it took. After moving to South Florida, her mother had a beautiful orchid collection and taught Ellen a lot about them. Her love of flowers never stopped.

Lucy grew up in the midwest and loved the wildflowers of that area. The fields of bluebonnets in Texas took her breath away, and the heavy heads of the sunflowers of Kansas just put a smile on her face.
